Since 1961 the International Conference on Electrical Contacts (ICEC) takes place every two years in different continents originally initiated by the IEC. The conference is dedicated to the technical scientific study of electrical contacts and connection systems.
Switzerland was re-selected to hold the 30th International Conference on Electrical Contacts (International Conference for Electrical Contacts ICEC) after the event already being held in Lausanne in 1986 and Zürich in 2002 due to the technical and scientific importance of Switzerland.
It is organised by Electrosuisse in an experienced way.
